Ceramic Structured Packing

Structured packing is also supplied in ceramic material for very corrosive services such as:

As with metal, structured packing in ceramic is available in high capacity or high efficiency types.
The geometric design minimises channelling and radially distributes gas and liquid, thus providing uniform distribution over the entire column cross section. Combined with the much greater surface area than a random packing of equivalent capacity, ceramic structured packing allows considerable improvement in the performance of a column from all aspects - higher capacity, lower pressure drop, better heat transfer and greater separation efficiency.
