Whilst the service that DtEC provides is a chemical engineering service, the actual mass transfer equipment is manufactured in sheet metal. DtEC manufactures and supplies distillation trays, packed column and reactor internals in a wide variety of materials including carbon steel, martensitic and ferritic stainless steels (400 series), austenitic stainless steels (300 series), and high grade materials and alloys (e.g. titanium, alloy 400, alloy C276, nickel 200 and duplex stainless steels).
All stages of the manufacturing process are carried out using modern methods and machines. Draughting is completed using the latest computer aided design package. State of the art CNC punching and bending machines are used to fabricate the intricate shape and perforation patterns that make up individual tray sections. Use of these CNC punching and bending machines ensures punching accuracy of individual components to within 0.1mm.
For trayed columns we design and manufacture all types of trays including but not limited to, sieve trays, valve trays with 3 different generic types of valves: fixed valves (with 3 sizes & 5 different lifts), standard mobile legged valves (circular and rectangular shape), cage and disc mobile valves (normal or light discs and venturi holes), bubble cap trays (with slotted or un-slotted caps) and proprietary trays. For packed columns (random or structured) our design and manufacturing experience includes all types of internals (liquid distributors, packing support plates, hold down grids, chimney trays and vane inlet devices).
