Sheet structured packing is supplied in two generic forms:
| High Capacity | X Type | Crimp Angle 60° |
| High Efficiency | Y Type | Crimp Angle 45° |
Packing Specific Surface Area
The column diameter and packed height for a specific duty is directly related to the packing specific surface area irrespective of packing type (high efficiency or high capacity).
The most common specific surface areas supplied are:

| 500 m2/m3 |
Intermediate surface areas are also available on request.

The lower the packing specific surface area, the smaller the column diameter but taller the packed bed height. For most applications an optimum between the diameter and height is achieved when the 125 to 250 m2/m3 surface areas are used.
